Remember the story about Bro Stebin?  It's the house with no electricity. Well, they are active now. And he is passing the sacrament.  We are still working on jobs for them and should have some answers this week.

We left the house this morning for church at 10am and we just got home at 9:30pm.
We had so many meetings at church my eyes were glazing over. We are starting to hear words when people talk in church, and we got a lot of what one of the speakers was saying.  We have been studying the language. Our Skype lessons with the MTC start this week.

We went with the Sister Missionaries again tonight.  This is the humblest home we have been in so far, but it did have electricity.  I'm not sure it's water-proff??  The father is blind.  He had chickenpox when he was 2 and has been blind ever since.  He plays a key board on a street corner for money, and the mom works part time only if she has a babysitter. We asked them to come to church Sunday, and we would look into jobs for them. One girl's 8th birthday was today. We took her a little present and the Sisters made her a cake.  Sweet family.  Right now only the Mom is a member. A neighbor was there and wants to know more, but says he will never leave his church.  We'll see about that.

The district Relief Society job is on hold for me.  Evidently, the President wants to quit and was a little upset that I was called without asking her.  My feelings aren't hurt, I'll do what ever.  They just have to work it out and decide what to do.

In the mean time, I am helping the 2 Branches we have been assigned to do a Relief Society Birthday Party.  I am making the invitations, and cute little boxes for gifts and napkin rings and I am the keynote speaker.  When I volunteered for all that I thought it was for one branch with about 20 ladies. Now she wants 60 of everything.  A little pressure.  I have to make the invitation in Malaya.  My talk will have to be translated as I speak.

We have found one fantastic place to eat.  They now know us there.  It's a Chinese restaurant and we order buttered shrimp and coconut rice with an egg on top every time.  It is so GOOD!! I have no idea how they make the butter sauce but we have had it with chicken and shrimp and it's yummy both ways.

We tried to go give away 2 Book of Mormons last week, but neither person was there.

We walked into a College last week. The first person to greet us is a less active member. A very friendly and very good looking young man from Nigeria.  We plan on taking him out to lunch this week.  The stake president knows him and thought he had gone back home.

Guess that's all for now. We have a very busy week this week and guess I will be making 60 of everything for the party.
