Picture of our bedroom. The red is because the closet doors are red. The room was empty when we got here except for just a bed. This is my little piece of home.
The second bedroom, which has our desks in it for working. Elder Przybyla's is the big one, mine is the littler one.
Dining table and looking into the kitchen. The water filter are the three things on the sink.
Standing in the same place, looking the other direction.
Hawkers stands. They have these everywhere. A meal would cost you $1.50 to $2.00 USD. I have only tried a couple of these. Not really my favorite yet. My taste may change as I live here longer and get more desperate for something different.
A coconut tree right by where we parked to go to a store. We really do live in a jungle here.
Downtown Kuching in an area called River Walk. The Sarawak River goes though town. It's a famous downtown area with a lot of Chinese and India Stores. This is a pedestrian street. Next picture is the name of the street.
Then it turns into China Street.
We live in an area called Batu Kawah. We always turn off and go to our apartment but today we decided to keep on going and see what was further down that road.
We came to a road sign that said botanical Gardens so we turned off to go see it. We ended up on a little country road going to Kampung, We found this area which said is was the Borneo Tribal Village. The Botanical Gardens were closed. We did a little birding. Yeah!!
Getting very close to this mountain that I see out of my kitchen window everyday.
Little village along the way.
Elder Przybyla thinks this is very funny. This is a one way street in to our building. How can you go both ways in the same lane on a one way street ??
Night market by our house. This is a watermelon that's yellow on the inside. Haven't tried it yet.
More night market only on Thursday and Fridays
Grapes look good.
This man is making sugar cane juice.
Sister Przybyla thinks this is hilarious!! Elder Przybyla is always in the kitchen making himself desserts. He bought a package of pudding. He was suppose to divide the package into smaller portions and make it, but he made the whole thing. He may be eating this the rest of our mission!!!!!!
Everyone here uses business cards. And since we are always visiting schools and Directors and such people, we had some cards made up.
