In Chinese this is called Mee. It's noodles. Looks like worms, but it's noodles and it wasn't too bad. This was a little kadai in the middle of a kampung in middle of no where. Actually our good friend Bob lives here. We went to his home for FHE.
A little forest nut.  I don't know  any more about it; tastes ok but I don't know the worth of it. It is from the forest. It's white meat in the inside. I don't think they use it for cooking, but then what do I know. I ate Monitor Lizard.  It about 6 feet long. An investigator killed it and had us over for dinner. They sold part of it at the market and got top dollar for it. I think any protein here is desirable since it seems they only eat chicken.

About 5 minutes from where we live is this long house. A sweet family is being taught the gospel that lives here.  We also went here for FHE one night. Several families live here. It is like little apartments connected together.

She is swinging her baby to sleep. Also at the same long house. She is sitting outside on the porch-too hot in the house. Almost nothing in the house.
I told you some of the pictures repeat subjects because they come from two different cameras. We are in the home of the second richest man in Kuching. The man with the orange skirt around him. We were invited to Hari Rayia-Muslim Holiday after their fasting.
I am sitting beside his wife. We had a wonderful discussion. I showed her the pictures of our family from the book Mandi made me, which is the most used thing I brought with me.

She was very sweet. Has 6 children, many grandchildren, and even great grandchildren. Their home is very lovely,.

Home Sweet Home. That's the door to our apartment. I am standing in the kitchen. Picture is being taken from a sliding glass door to balcony and to the left is sitting area and then left is hallway to bedrooms and bathrooms. It's a very lovely apartment. We love it. It has views from all the windows.
Riding around, we found this humble home. We can be very thankful for what we have.
Nothing goes to waste.  If left sitting long enough, every thing useful will disappear.
A kampung in a part of Kuching. Very typical homes in kampungs.
We went with some investigators to their  kampung to harvest rampadon. They supplied us all with hats and lunch and good time. We hiked to a waterfalls. I saw a new bird.
Citit is the mother and Augutine is the son. He is the one that cooked monitor lizard for us.  He is a fantastic chef.  We are trying to get him a job.
They even fed us durian. The sugar fruit that will give you sugar poisoning if you eat too much of it.
Sisters Wynn and Collard helping to harvest the rambutan  I saw a new bird while we were here. What a great day and beautiful area in the mountains.
The Harvesting Gang.
The Chain Gang Officials. Someone has to keep them working.  We harvested from the forest, where no one owned the fruit. We picked it and they sold in the market in Kuching.
Elder Przybyla didn't get the whole name in the picture, but you know what it is. Sephora is coming to Kuching in the Spring Mall.  I am not sure when it opens, but I will probably be there.
We were invited to the Rotary Club. Elder Przybyla was invited to speak for 15 min. They called everyone up that has a birthday in August.  The Rotary Club is a Service organization. We are thinking about joining just to get the Church's name out there.
Every August Kuching hosts the Food Fair or People's fair.  Booth after booth of food, so you can try all the local food. The youth give shows and dancing on the stage along with singers, etc. Then there are some booths with items to buy.

The Cats of Kuching plus the wild animal from American!

We did some Family History Booth's in the Mall. The next day one of the Elder's pictures and the booth was in the News Paper.  Way to go Elder Mix.
The Ramblee family is the best. We visit them a lot. They work and live inside a lumber job. The lumber company gives them humble housing for small amount of money. Community bathrooms, etc. They are members of 2 years.
Elder Przybyla asked this little girl every time we visit their house if she will share some of her hair with him, since he doesn't have any.  She usually runs and hides.  Her older bother is on a mission in the Singapore Mission.
The Elders gave a lesson  on Captain Moroni, so this leader ripped his shirt off and wrote on it and then waved it in the air. They loved it. Thy also live in a lumber yard.
Mom in the center, and Sister Wynn in the blue.
Sister Wynn and Sister Collard are companions in the Stampin Branch. Also Elder Scott and Elder Stowell.  Elder Scott has gone home this week. He will be greatly missed.
