This is our trip to Singapore for Zone Conference, March 31-April 5, 2014.

This is in China town. Upstairs is a mall with lots of fabric to select and they will sew what you want.

These are famous "Hawker Stalls" or food places. They are everywhere is Singapore and Kuching.

Hawker Stands with food.  Looks good.

This is in Little India in Singapore. It goes for miles.  Lots of shops and restaurants.

Beautiful  dresses for sale in Little India.

Fresh Fish Market in China Town.

Little India again.
Went with the Moulders to this little shop. When he dies this art will probably gone. His grandfather taught him, but it was done long before his grandfather too.  They make sawdust out of the bark of a tree (related to the Cinnamon Tree) and when you add water to it it makes clay. And they made all kinds of statues and things with the clay. He demonstrated his talents by making a little man.  Very talented. He makes nativity scenes or Ginger Bread houses to order.

His shop is not very big.  This location of this store gets passed from Senior Couple to Senior Couple. If it stops some time then it will be lost and probably not be discovered again. He is not on the beaten path.

This is the art he is most famous for. These are things you burn during a Chinese Holiday to send the smoke up to the skies to where their ancestors are.

We went one of the most expensive buffets in Singapore for lunch. This is in the Hotel Marina Sands.  It has a structure on top they call a boat.
I'm sure I ate 1/2 a cow while I was there for 5 days.

This is called the Singapore Flyer. It takes about 1/2 hr to do the complete turn.  It has fantastic views of the city.

This is the Marine Sands hotel with the boat on top. It cost at least $500 a night if not more.
This is inside the flyer, It was not a busy time and we had this one to ourselves.

Singapore harbor is one of busiest harbors in the world.  Ships are anchored out there all the time.
Skyline of Singapore. The green thing with the stands behind is a floating stage and seating.

These are two Senior Couples that serve in Kuching with us.  Elder and Sister Moulder on the left and Elder and Sister Boyter on the right.

Picture at lunch time at Zone Conference. We had pizza this day.
This is only our Zone of the Mission. To the right of me in the picture are Pres. and Sister Mains.

Famous Lion-Fish of Singapore.

Skyline of Singapore from Mt Faber.

We went to the Bird park.  In this photo the birds are paintings on hands-even the grass.  Pretty clever, Huh?

At the Bird Park.

This is at the airport.  There are like 1000 different types of Orchids in this picture. All these things are made out of orchids.

This is our Incredible Meiting!! She is the one I told you about that got the Scholarship to Nursing Church. She is leaving the next day to go to school.  We are proud of her.

We went with the Elders to the Sister's home. They fed us dinner on the floor. We had to keep chasing the cats away from the food. The food wasn't bad--but different!!! They must have had 5 cats that kept climbing all over us.

The lady beside the young missionary needs a better job, so we are helping her with that.
