Our Temple trip was in November. We left on Monday and came back on Saturday.  The Dixon family is so cute.  The little boy broke out with Chicken Pox on the airplane.  When the Mom told me, I told her to say nothing, just get off the plane and though immigration and don't say anything.  They got in.  Mary and James, who were also with us, came down with them after we got home.
We stopped in Sebu on the way to Manila and the man on the right and his wife on the left, Kevin and Karin, got to see the Elder that baptized them a year also.  How fun for a missionary to see his baptism go to the temple. They are awesome. The other day we got them a wheelchair for his grandmother that just broke her hip. Humanitarian Church wheelchair.
A local member of the Church in Manila cooked dinner and brought it to us after the temple in the evening. We did this for the first 2 nights when we getting settled and used to the area. Her food was very good.  They had enough leftovers for their breakfast the next day. So money-wise it was a good deal.

Dixon family got sealed together, after being members for 1 year. He is a Kingdom builder for sure.
We went to a local mall in Manila one night for dinner and to look around a little. At the end of the table are James and Mary that came down with Chicken pox after they got home. Their sister and mother are right behind them. They were sealed to their parents.  Their father died about a year ago when their house burned down.

Manila Mall
I couldn't count all the people we fit in this van to get to the mall that night.
I got a terrible asthma attack while I was there, and I was not feeling very well most of the trip. I seemed to keep up with most things though. I had been trying to get hold of a sister that was in the MTC with us, but her emails wouldn't work. I ran into her in the temple.  Small world. She has been trying to get a hold of us too. Bonus blessings.

Here we are waiting outside patron housing, where they all got to stay at very reasonable prices. We had to stay at a hotel.  Elder and Sister Winters that were on a mission here in Kuching awhile back were serving in Manila and got permission to come and spend 3 days with us. They know some of the people and they were a great help.
The room where you can buy garments and church materials was enjoyed by everyone. Others from the church in Kuching would give them money to buy garments for them. They are cheaper when you buy them there.
Part of the temple grounds. Looking at the MTC across the street.
I bought some jewelry for each of the ladies that went to remember the trip and a little gift from us.  This is the lady that made the jewelry.
Brother Dixon and his little girl on the way home on the plane. It was a great trip and also nice to be home.  We went straight for the airport to some baptisms and then when we got home, I said Elder Przybyla it's now my turn--I need to go to the doctor for my asthma, I can't breathe.

Waiting for the plane in Manila. That's out of order??
Getting treated for my asthma at the Norma Hospital.  It still took almost a month to get it under control.
An Elder's shoes that have been chewed up by a dog. Glued together because he can't afford to have them repaired and he walked though the mud and rain.  That's the story of a missionary. Just look at his shoes and you can tell how hard he works.
Elder Trudo is a good sport. He challenged all the missionaries to take care of a raw egg for one week.  They were to see how diligent they could be. If your egg didn't get broken you could crack it on his head.  They did it.  Some of the eggs were rotten and the smell was so bad, I don't know how he managed it. This is after the District Meeting we have every Tuesday.
Cute family Sisters Collard and Tai taught. It's always a tradition that they have their pictures taken in this spot.
My Halloween Party cookies for the Youth. I even named each one of them.
Queen of Hearts was my costume for the Party.

These two girls are my favorite; Penny and Audry. They are so strong. They both have callings in the Branch now and they come to everything.
This is Elder Rabin, a missionary called from Sarawak to serve here, but he never gets to serve in his home town. I can't remember who's house this is.
This is a member that served a mission here and married this local girl. They now live in Eagle Mtn.  They decided to come back here and have  their daughter baptized here, so she could invite all her non-member family to attend, and hopefully ask about the church.

We took the Sliders and went to the Kuching Cat Museum. It was everything you could ever want to know about cats. Or don't want to know, but it was all there. I didn't find out why this called the cat city.
More Museum cats. And one fat cat in the middle.

I think she is making battered, deep fried bananas. They are very delicious.
