I posted this Chinese Temple in Kuching before, but we went again when Elder Squires and Bro. and Sis. Reynolds were here. I love these figures on the door.  They are suppose to keep evil spirits away.  They are quite scary.

This is Sister Citi. She and her family are investors.  Elder Przybyla and I gave our first lesson to this family.  They are still learning. She runs her own little vegetable and fruit stand every day. She walks here every day.  She buys and sells. One time we went and helped her pick rambutons from the jungle for here to sell.

Took this in Boulevard Mall.  Don't know if you can see them but it's a men's physic show.  Not bad.

The two Sister facing us are Sister Tai and Sister Collard. They are missionaries. They are playing the part of locals being approached by missionaries and what you could say. It was pretty funny.

We were in a meeting with Elder Squires and the Reynelds and Branch Presidents when we got a call from the zone leaders to come and help. There was a terrible rain storm and this humble home was flooded.  This was by far the most humble, unbelievable place I've seen yet. We went and got them some wood so they could build a floor in there and out of the water. I'm not sure that worked.

This is President Bobbie of the Kuching Branch who has just been hired by the church to be the new Self Reliant Center manager. This will be one of the rooms we will be using for the center.

Bata Kawaha Branch Relief Society had a social at the swimming pool at our apartment. They BBQ chicken and a pot luck. Kids love the pool.This is the second time they have used our facilities.

He is from this island.  He is serving here because his visa to New Zealand had not come through.  We worked with him for  weeks and the New Zealand immigration office, but they turned down his visa.  He has been reassigned to Singapore Mission. He still has not been to the MTC or temple yet.  I think he finally goes in October.
